20 Years of ALERGO-MED Aviation
2025 is a special year for us – October 17th marks 20 years of ALERGO-MED's involvement in the field of aviation medicine and aviation medical research. It's a unique opportunity for us to recap our journey so far and recall the most important events that have shaped our clinic and allowed it to secure a quite prominent place in the aviation community in Poland.
2005 – The beginning
In 2005, a medical examiner's office authorized by the Civil Aviation Authority began operating at the Warsaw branch of ALERGO-MED. ALERGO-MED Aviation was established at the initiative of Janusz Jachimowicz, MD – a specialist in aviation medicine, a long-time examiner at the Aviation Medicine Center of LOT Polish Airlines, a respected aviation professional, and the husband of doctor Romana Borkowska. From the very beginning, the clinic offered same-day aviation medical examinations, which was a huge advantage and quickly gained the recognition of pilots and cabin crew.
2005–2010 – Dynamic Growth
Within a short time, ALERGO-MED Aviation established partnerships with numerous airlines and general aviation pilots. Thanks to our high standards of examination and personalized approach to each patient, we have earned the trust of a wide range of aviation professionals. In 2011, doctor Janusz Jachimowicz, MD, was honored as the 2010 General Aviation Person of the Year in Poland in a poll conducted by dlapilota.pl and KTL AOPA – a distinction confirming his achievements and authority in the industry.
2019 – New modern location
The growing demand for aviation medical examinations led to the clinic's Warsaw branch moving to a new, larger, and better-equipped location at 12 Lanciego Street in 2019. This location has been adapted to the needs of both patients and physicians – modern offices, professional registration, and comfortable conditions have made aviation examinations even more accessible and convenient.
2020–2025 – Expanding the Offer
In recent years, ALERGO-MED Aviation's offer has been expanded to include additional specialties supporting the health of flight crew, including cardiology and aviation psychology. This allows us to provide comprehensive medical care that meets the specific needs of the aviation environment.
20th Anniversary
Today, in October 2025, we celebrate 20 years of ALERGO-MED Aviation. This is a source of pride and gratitude to all the patients who have placed their trust in us. From the beginning, our goal has been to ensure that aviation medical examinations are performed in an atmosphere of professionalism, safety, and friendliness.
Looking to the future, we want to continue developing our business, introducing new solutions and ensuring that our clinic remains a place where aviation personnel receive the highest quality medical care.
